Twas the night before Christmas…

We headed to our close friend mommy blogger for The ADVENTURISTA and Real Estate investor Naima Sanowar and husband Joe’s beautiful and festive townhouse in Clinton Hill in search of the perfect Christmas Sorrel martini.  Joe who owns a marketing and advertising agency is also a mixologist magician!  We arrived just in time to help him put the star on top of the tree… Continue reading →

Jamie Isaia

Tallulah keeps asking me when are we going back to see Jamie because she wants to introduce her to her new life-like stuffed Meerkat Olivia. Indeed, Olivia would fit beautifully amongst the array of taxidermy animals that inhabit the apartment where Jamie lives. That is -if Spider- Jamie’s miniature doberman pinscher gives Olivia the ok. Monica Botkier and Children

Tallulah and the girls Sloane, 7 and Olive, 2 went upstairs and raided their mother’s walk- in closet while their brother Saige, 3 stayed downstairs playing with trucks-naturally!  It’s inevitable these girls will grow up fashionistas when your mother is one of New York City’s hottest Accessories designer Monica Botkier!    Continue reading →

Winter hasn’t begun yet but I’m already dreaming of the time when the warm weather comes back and Tallulah can run around in her LaissezPaisser bold, colorful romper!  Nina Broeer and her two future Soccer Ace sons August and Santiago invited Tallulah and I to meet Nina’s design partner Lydia Holness and her adorable daughter Lola. Alec Newman at BAM

Alec Newman made an indelible impression on Tallulah this past Summer. We spent some time with him when he was here in New York playing Edmund in King Lear at Brooklyn Academy of Music with Derek Jacobi in the title role.  An instant crush developed-understandably-and a seed was sewn as soon as Alec brought Tallulah onto the main stage at BAM! Malcolm & Katie Kiechel-Beckford

Here is my space to talk about everything I love about Brooklyn!  Can’t think of a better way to start than with two of my favorite Brooklynites- the crazy talented couple Malcolm and Katie Beckford.  Tallulah’s always asking “Mommy when are we going to brunch with Malcolm and Katie?”  She was thrilled when I told her we had a date at their flat in DUMBO and she would get to meet Scout their Staffordshire Bull terrier! She picked out a favorite dress from Bonpoint and gathered together paper and markers to draw Scout’s portrait. Continue reading →
