Wendy is all about creating products to fall in love with! What started as an endeavor -making decorative pillows in her  living room over a decade ago quickly expanded into children’s bedding- bringing sophistication into the nursery. She is regarded as a leading tastemaker in family lifestyle.

Wendy, a mother to four beautiful daughters has defined the idea that becoming a mother is an opportunity to enhance your own sense of style, not leave it behind.

Tierney Gearon

ALPHABET BOOK

I have followed the career of acclaimed photographer Tierney Gearon ever since her 2001 debut, “I Am a Camera” exhibition in London.   Her work- always powerful, beautiful and often controversial, mainly focuses on her children as her subjects.  She has turned to her children again, producing ALPHABET BOOK a more whimsical but no less thought provoking and instantly nostalgic series of 26 photos — one for each letter of the alphabet.  An absolute must for the holidays!  Alphabet Book is available to order on Amazon.

Tallulah and I hung out in The Bowery with Tierney at her first Book Signing at Dashwood Book Store in NYC! Continue reading →

H&M Halloween

Kids play Dress up this Halloween as H&M raises funds for UNICEF’s All For Children Collection.

Children love to play dress-up, especially at Halloween. this fall, H&M is creating a special collection of dress-up pieces for boys and girls, with 25% of all sales going directly to all for Children, the UniCef project that H&M supports to improve access to quality education and healthcare services for children in countries where H&M operates.

Tallulah is no exception!  This year vampire and zombie were thrown about and we are finding our inspiration at H&M. There is a beautiful ghostly cream dress with a cascade of ruffles (pictured) complete with veil that we could turn into the most haunting Vampire bride.  OR… We could channel the undead and choose a really stylish dark grey tulle jacket with scattered sequins and matching tulle skirt for a Zombie party girl!  Haven’t quite made that final decision.   Check back on Halloween to see the ghoulish site!

The collection will be available on October 10th in 250 stores worldwide, as well as online.

Think a mini-version-with an explosion of color.  It is available now ONLINE and already hit stores on Friday!

H & M KIDS

BACK TO SCHOOL with H & M Kids  Back to school is exciting on so many levels!  Shopping with Mommy for clothes is a BIG deal! Tallulah is starting first grade next week and I thought I’d mark the occasion with taking Tallulah shopping at our new H&M store at the Fulton Mall in Brooklyn!  I usually shop online but if your child is anything like mine it needs to feel comfortable on her body -or she just won’t wear it!  Plus I’m tired of shoving uber expensive clothes back into the drawers because it doesn’t feel right on her-after she fell in love with it online!  The theme at H & M kids was animals, animals, ANIMALS!  There was so much to choose from!  Rabbit jeans and peasant blouses, Pug and baby leopard tees!  Tallulah was dancing in the dressing room as she put on each outfit! I also grabbed a couple of things for myself to try on and it was so much fun!  Tallulah had a thumbs up or down for my outfits and we both agreed on a lovely blue and white print dress and a cream dinner jacket to throw over it.  The jacket was $35!  See it HERE. I don’t think I have ever paid that little for a tailored jacket!  I was super impressed-  the cut is truly beautiful!! We came away with 2 big shopping bags without (honestly) breaking the bank!  H & M Kids is super affordable ranging from $6-$20 per piece!  They also have a newborn organic cotton line and let’s face it you can pick up a few items for yourself whilst making your child very happy!
