Kirna Zabête and The Vintage Contessa team up to raise money for The Scarlett Fund and pediatric cancer research!
Yesterday Tallulah and I attended A Mother and Daughter Tea Party held at Kirna Zabete in Soho, NY to help raise money for The Scarlett Fund at Memorial Sloane Kettering Cancer Centre which benefits pediatric cancer research.
The Scarlett Fund was set up this year by a New York family whose 6 year old daughter Scarlett was diagnosed with Lymphoma. Through her fight with the disease they learned that, “pediatric cancer research is drastically under researched, underfunded and rarely discussed. A lack of funding impedes scientific discovery that we desperately need to improve survival rates and to create more effective and less toxic treatments for our children.” Scarlett’s mother Jennifer James.
Scarlett Elizabeth walked the red carpet , signing books for all the children who welcomed her. We celebrated the day with tea and macaroons. The children had their nails done inside courtesy of primpnpolish before sitting down for a book reading of the new children’s book The Vintage Contessa & Princessa.. Tallulah and I ended the afternoon by jumping in an old school photo booth (my favorite) to record the day!
A portion of the proceeds from all sales on the day went to the fund.
