the Wish List

RMS Beauty

Rose-Marie Swft is a veteran of the Fashion industry.  Having come back from a day in the studio with make-up artist Rose-Marie my husband Michael always remarked on how beautiful Rose-Marie made the models smell and how she would be mixing her own potions.  A strong advocate of organic products and healthy living RMS Beauty  is a natural expression of Rose-Marie’s philosophy.  She has created a line that is not only in their natural organic state but that heals and nourishes the skin.  One product I reach for daily is the Living Luminizer.  When I’ve had too little sleep or feeling particularly stressed-I smooth it across my cheeks, chin, nose and above my eyes for an instant lift!  It brightens your face-immediately making you look more rested!  The other staple I can’t live without is the Raw Coconut Cream-truly the BEST makeup remover ever! Because of its incredible healing properties-I find myself using it as an all over moisturizer and I LOVE the way it smells!  Also because of its gentleness I use it on Tallulah-as she is a Zombie party girl this Halloween- RMS Raw Coconut cream will be my saviour!

the Inspiration

H&M Halloween

Kids play Dress up this Halloween as H&M raises funds for UNICEF’s All For Children Collection.

Children love to play dress-up, especially at Halloween. this fall, H&M is creating a special collection of dress-up pieces for boys and girls, with 25% of all sales going directly to all for Children, the UniCef project that H&M supports to improve access to quality education and healthcare services for children in countries where H&M operates.

Tallulah is no exception!  This year vampire and zombie were thrown about and we are finding our inspiration at H&M. There is a beautiful ghostly cream dress with a cascade of ruffles (pictured) complete with veil that we could turn into the most haunting Vampire bride.  OR… We could channel the undead and choose a really stylish dark grey tulle jacket with scattered sequins and matching tulle skirt for a Zombie party girl!  Haven’t quite made that final decision.   Check back on Halloween to see the ghoulish site!

The collection will be available on October 10th in 250 stores worldwide, as well as online.

the Wish List

Lukedrewthis

Turn your child’s drawing into a beautiful gift for a loved one.   One of my very best friends Julie Cox tried to do just that.  Wanting to put her son Luke’s magical chalk drawing onto a tee shirt for daddy’s birthday she searched the internet for ages and came up empty!   Not one to ever give up she ended up bringing the idea to a local printer in Bristol where she lives and had it made herself!  What happened next was unexpected- having seen her partner Mark wearing Luke’s drawing all the other dads wanted one too- and a business was born!  Lukedrewthis are made from 100% organic cotton tees and water based ink. It doesn’t stop there-you can have your mini Picasso’s works of art on 100% cotton bags!  A truly one of a kind idea that will bring joy and make such a lasting impression!  Can’t wait to give Tallulah’s teachers their bags this Christmas!

J. Crew Baby

I was invited by J.Crew to have brunch with Crewcuts head designer- the uber talented Jenny Cooper for the launch of their new J. Crew baby line.   Their presentation was beautiful!  Where was J.Crew Baby 6 years ago when Tallulah was born!  If you’re a fan of Crewcuts then you are seriously, going to fall in LOVE with everything in the baby line! Think a mini-version-with an explosion of color.  It is available now ONLINE and already hit stores on Friday!
